PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogerio Redondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redondo shoots for a takedown but Lesnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lesnar looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Redondo goes for a double leg but Lesnar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lesnar continues to drive forward.

Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lesnar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Drock Lesnar has been cut.
Redondo throws a right and a left that Lesnar avoids nicely.
Redondo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lesnar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Drock Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rogerio Redondo.
Lesnar on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Redondo swats away the attempt to clinch by Lesnar.
Lesnar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Redondo pushes Lesnar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lesnar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lesnar throwing strikes but Redondo manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Redondo stands up.
Lesnar really is a fat lump.
Redondo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lesnar eats them both and turns towards Redondo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Redondo cracks a nice hook into Lesnar's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Redondo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lesnar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lesnar gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Redondo.
Lesnar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Redondo lunges at Lesnar with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lesnar's hand.
Lesnar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Redondo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Redondo Throws a clean left jab. Redondo Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Lesnar's chin! Lesnar crumbles to the ground and Redondo follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Redondo!
