Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amasinger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Calzaghe pinned against the cage. Calzaghe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Calzaghe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Calzaghe works the jab nicely.
Calzaghe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Dean Amasinger has been cut.
Calzaghe fails to land with a series of punches.
Calzaghe scores with a one two! Amasinger had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Calzaghe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Calzaghe misses with a looping right.
Calzaghe scores with a hook to the body. Amasinger takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cadoc Calzaghe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Calzaghe.
Calzaghe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A left and a right from Calzaghe both land. Nice combination.
Calzaghe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Amasinger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calzaghe's waist but Calzaghe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amasinger off to one side.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amasinger.

Calzaghe throws a combination. Amasinger tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cadoc Calzaghe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Calzaghe throws a body punch but Amasinger moves out of range.

Calzaghe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Calzaghe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Amasinger at a distance.
Calzaghe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Calzaghe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Amasinger shoots in for a double leg but Calzaghe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Amasinger. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Amasinger is breathing heavily.
Calzaghe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Calzaghe dips to his left and cracks Amasinger with an uppercut!

Calzaghe closes the distance and clinches up with Amasinger, looking for a takedown. Calzaghe pushes Amasinger against the cage but Amasinger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Calzaghe throws a series of punches but Amasinger avoids them all with ease.

Calzaghe stuns Amasinger with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Calzaghe is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Amasinger rather than just go for the knockout.
Calzaghe cracks Amasinger with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Amasinger has his takedown stuffed
and Calzaghe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Calzaghe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Calzaghe, as that shot connected.
Amasinger takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Amasinger ducks right into an uppercut from Calzaghe.
Calzaghe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Calzaghe looks to land a combination. Amasinger sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Amasinger is rocked!

Calzaghe drops Amasinger with a beautiful combination! Amasinger stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Calzaghe is looking for the KO!
Oh Amasinger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Calzaghe lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Amasinger can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Calzaghe and Amasinger drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Calzaghe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cadoc Calzaghe!
