Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chael Sauna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 3, fighting out of London, Sean Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sauna manages to avoid it.

Quinn's coach down at S-1 Complete Fighter Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Quinn's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Sauna shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sauna was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sauna has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sauna accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sauna has gone for a leg lock! Quinn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sauna's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sauna is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quinn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quinn has escaped and now he's on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Quinn throws a hook to the side of Sauna's head but Sauna sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sauna is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Quinn is just riding it out for now. Sauna eventually gives up the hold.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quinn can do anything to dispel that myth.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sean Quinn hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Quinn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sauna momentarily.
Sauna throws a lazy right hand but Quinn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quinn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
