The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fireboy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Olson did well to prevent Fireboy getting side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fireboy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Fireboy stands up and beckons Olson to join him on the feet.
Olson throws a sloppy head kick
and Fireboy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fireboy shoots for a double leg takedown but Olson sprawls well. He's pushed Fireboy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fireboy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Olson as he jumps to the side.
Olson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fireboy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Olson, pushing him back against the cage.
Olson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Fireboy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fireboy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Gregorio Olson has been cut.
Fireboy explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Olson is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fireboy fails with the takedown.
Gregorio Olson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Fireboy.
Fireboy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Whack! Fireboy lands a heavy head kick that drops Olson. The ref tackles Fireboy to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Olson was done.
