Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orville Redenbacher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Holliday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redenbacher comes to the cage accompanied by Danger Zone. Holliday comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wanted Dead Or Alive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Doc Holliday was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doc Holliday!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holliday looks to land a right hand but Redenbacher moved out of range.
Holliday uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Redenbacher.
Holliday lands a lovely overhand right.
Sloppy strikes from Redenbacher. Those never looked like landing.
Holliday lands with a kick to the temple. Redenbacher shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Orville Redenbacher has been cut.
Holliday jabs Redenbacher right on the nose. Redenbacher blinks but takes it well.
Holliday scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Redenbacher has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Redenbacher misses with a head kick.
The fighters circling - Holliday throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Holliday tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Holliday takes a swing at Redenbacher's ribcage but misses.
Holliday swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holliday has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Redenbacher ducks under a wild hook from Holliday.
Redenbacher stuffs the takedown attempt from Holliday. Holliday gets slowly back to his feet.
Holliday pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Redenbacher fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Holliday shoots in for a takedown but Redenbacher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Redenbacher takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Orville Redenbacher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Redenbacher looks to throw the jab but Holliday is out of range.
Holliday avoids the head kick by Redenbacher.

Holliday drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Redenbacher has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Holliday is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Redenbacher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Holliday goes for a takedown attempt but Redenbacher pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Orville Redenbacher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doc Holliday.

Redenbacher dips to his left and cracks Holliday with an uppercut!
Holliday clobbers Redenbacher with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Redenbacher misses the shot to the body.
Redenbacher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Holliday paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Holliday takes a swing at Redenbacher's ribcage but misses.
Holliday misses with a straight right.
Doc Holliday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redenbacher misses with an attempted mid kick.

Holliday tries to keep at a distance but Redenbacher has taken the fight into the clinch.
Holliday is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Redenbacher tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Holliday's elbow.
Redenbacher can't find room to land a body shot as Holliday controls the action.

Redenbacher blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Holliday blocks an uppercut.
Redenbacher lands a shoulder strike.
Redenbacher working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Holliday breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Redenbacher lands a nice looking kick to the body. Holliday takes a step back to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Holliday walks straight into a right hand from Redenbacher - that's dropped him! Redenbacher jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Holliday from any more punishment! Holliday complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Orville Redenbacher!
Orville Redenbacher seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
