The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weirdness takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Weirdness looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Rockyie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Weirdness was covering up waiting for the punch and Rockyie finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Weirdness is working an open guard so Rockyie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rockyie goes for a double leg but Weirdness avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Weirdness continues to drive forward.
Rockyie is looking for a takedown.
Rockyie lands with a left to the head.

Rockyie gets control of Weirdness's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rockyie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Weirdness has gone for a leg lock! Rockyie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Weirdness's guard.

Weirdness shoots for a double leg takedown but Rockyie sprawls well. He's pushed Weirdness's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rockyie throws a sloppy head kick and Weirdness moves out of range easily.

Rockyie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rockyie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Weirdness drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rockyie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Weirdness has Rockyie in his guard.
