Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Redshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redshaw comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC - Skies on Fire. Downtime has chosen Bring It as his entrance music. Dexter Redshaw could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nycky Downtime's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Nycky Downtime!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Hemmingworth and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Downtime. No joy for Redshaw on that attempt.
We've been informed that Downtime has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Redshaw tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Downtime manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Redshaw throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dexter Redshaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downtime lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Downtime.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nycky Downtime hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Redshaw shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Downtime manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
