The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gil takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Malapitan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gil has time to react.
Malapitan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malapitan avoids a kick to the body.
Gil has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gil there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gil tries to clinch but Malapitan is having none of it.
Malapitan misses with an uppercut.

Gil looks up at the clock. Bad move! Malapitan lands a right hand from hell, dropping Gil. Malapitan pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
