Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson comes to the cage accompanied by "Still Unbroken" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Thompson has chosen Creepin- Eric Church as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Russell Patterson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson tries to keep at a distance but Thompson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Patterson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Patterson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thompson's efforts to push away.

Thompson decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patterson trying to control the position from guard on top but Thompson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thompson wants to stand up but Patterson is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Russell Patterson.
Thompson feints a jab promting Patterson to slip. Thompson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Patterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Russell Patterson has been cut.
Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch but Thompson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Patterson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.

Patterson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thompson connects with a superb combination that knocks Patterson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Thompson before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Patterson!
