And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nickolay Katorjnov!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks tries a head kick but it misses.
Hendricks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Katorjnov.
Katorjnov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hendricks.

Hendricks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Katorjnov, pushing him back against the cage.
Katorjnov can't break the clinch.

Hendricks jumps guard and drags Katorjnov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Katorjnov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hendricks, up you get!
Hendricks blocks a head kick by Katorjnov.
Katorjnov sizes up Hendricks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Katorjnov misses with a double jab.
We've been told by Hendricks's head coaches at Kick In The Nutz Gym (14 Elite Coaches, Low Cap) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hendricks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Katorjnov.
Katorjnov moves out of range of the body kick from Hendricks.
Hendricks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Katorjnov.
Hendricks on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Hendricks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hendricks thows a huge punch but Katorjnov dodges it nicely.

Hendricks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Katorjnov is just riding it out for now. Hendricks eventually gives up the hold.

Hendricks has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Katorjnov defend it? Hendricks steps over the head and cranks it - Katorjnov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hendricks!
