Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Alawadi Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Amir Alawadi Jr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amir Alawadi Jr!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alawadi Jr lands a jab to Cole's midsection.
Cole throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alawadi Jr scores with the left hand. Cole knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Andy Cole has been cut.
Alawadi Jr stuns Cole with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alawadi Jr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nice defenses there by Cole.
Alawadi Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cole sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Alawadi Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alawadi Jr throws a right hand that Cole ducks under and follows up with a left that Cole also avoids with ease.
A slow jab from Alawadi Jr misses its intended target.
Alawadi Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Cole misses with a body kick.
Cole moves out of range of the strikes.
Alawadi Jr tries to bum rush Cole with a series of wild strikes but Cole uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cole looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alawadi Jr!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cole postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Cole decides to stand up, so the ref orders Alawadi Jr to his feet.
Cole defending well as Alawadi Jr loads up on a big left hand.
Alawadi Jr misses the shot to the body.
Alawadi Jr misses the shot to the body.
Alawadi Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Cole.
Amir Alawadi Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cole shoots in but no luck this time.
Alawadi Jr lands a nice hook to Cole's body. Cole takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Alawadi Jr lands a jab to the head.
Cole avoids the body shot from Alawadi Jr.
Alawadi Jr looks winded!
Alawadi Jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cole.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cole.
Cole ducks under a wild hook from Alawadi Jr.
Alawadi Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alawadi Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cole was well out of range. Poor timing from Alawadi Jr.
Amir Alawadi Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alawadi Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Alawadi Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Cole misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cole has closed the distance and engaged Alawadi Jr in a clinch.

Cole is working for takedown but Alawadi Jr is calmly controlling the position for now.

Cole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alawadi Jr throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Alawadi Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cole counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Cole gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Alawadi Jr regains guard.
Cole is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cole works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Cole is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Alawadi Jr is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
