Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arlen Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Almark Badajos!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Badajos closes the distance and pushes Bush back into the cage.

Badajos wants the takedown. Bush is fighting it off but Badajos persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bush's guard against the cage.
Badajos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bush works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Badajos trying to control the position from guard on top but Bush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Badajos throws a strike but Bush rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bush trying to stand up but can't free himself from Badajos's guard.
Bush could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Badajos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Badajos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bush has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Badajos is proving hard to escape from.

Bush postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Bush drops back, looking for a kneebar! Badajos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Badajos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Badajos!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Badajos looks up at the clock and then as Bush takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Badajos smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Badajos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Bush's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Badajos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
