Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason McKinney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steven Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKinney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taylor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

McKinney moves into the clinch.
McKinney jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Taylor walks away with a smile on his face. McKinney gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
McKinney fails with a takedown attempt.
McKinney shoots in for a double leg but Taylor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason McKinney. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McKinney pushes Taylor up against the cage in a clinch.

McKinney tries to pull guard but Taylor won't allow it.
McKinney has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Taylor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Taylor is pressed up against the cage. McKinney has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Taylor down to the mat. Taylor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Taylor's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
