Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tatenda Ihejirika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Huber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huber has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tatenda Ihejirika could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mario Huber's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tatenda Ihejirika!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Huber!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ihejirika darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Ihejirika is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Huber defends it well.
Ihejirika is looking to advance position but Huber won't allow it.
Ihejirika wants to take a breather but Huber is having none of it.
Huber wants to control but Ihejirika is keeping busy.

Huber looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Huber wants to get back to full guard.
Huber is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huber moves into full guard.
Ihejirika is pushing down on Huber's leg trying to pass to half guard. Huber is fighting to maintain full guard but Ihejirika has managed to sneak the leg through.
Huber wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Ihejirika seems content to control.
Huber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Huber looking for submissions off his back.
Ihejirika is trying to control the action in half guard but Huber is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ihejirika seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Huber looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ihejirika controlling the pace.
Ihejirika frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ihejirika with a couple of short strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ihejirika working the ground and pound effectively.
Huber manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Still in half guard, Ihejirika seems content to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huber wants to get back to full guard.
Huber is still trying to improve position.
Ihejirika missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Ihejirika lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ihejirika takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Huber wants to improve his position but Ihejirika is controlling well.
Ihejirika wants to control but Huber is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tatenda Ihejirika just wasn't active enough.

Ihejirika gets the takedown into side control.
Ihejirika takes a little break here. Huber wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ihejirika decides to stand up, so the ref orders Huber to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ihejirika closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Huber to the mat! Huber manages to get full guard.


Huber is rocked!
Ihejirika postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Huber covers up, he's hurt! Ihejirika keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Ihejirika and the ref steps in to end the fight! Ihejirika can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tatenda Ihejirika!
A victorious Tatenda Ihejirika thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
