Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Petrasek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, David Petrasek!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrasek does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Collins throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like David Petrasek has been cut.
Petrasek moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Collins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petrasek was covering up waiting for the punch and Collins finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Collins trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrasek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Petrasek has his hands on Collins's head, controlling the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Collins trying to control but Petrasek is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Collins wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Collins gets the takedown into side control.
Petrasek is looking for a sweep.
Collins trying to control the action but Petrasek is working from the bottom.
Collins tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Petrasek is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Petrasek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Collins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Collins misses with the ground and pound.
Petrasek is looking to regain half guard here but Collins keeps moving and retains side control.
Collins is looking to take a break and control but Petrasek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

I really don't envy Collins right now.
Collins wants to control his opponent's hands but Petrasek gets his hands free.
Petrasek is looking to control Collins but Collins is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Petrasek nearly escaped from the position there.

Petrasek gets to his feet and calls for his opponent to stand and trade! Heeeere we go!

and Petrasek counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Collins gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Collins is breathing heavily.
Collins missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Petrasek is refusing to be controlled, as Collins sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Collins dominated that round.
The cut man is working on David Petrasek's cut.
That's time! Collins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Petrasek looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Petrasek wants to stand up but Collins has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Collins pushes Petrasek off looking to stand but Petrasek dives back in and keeps control.

Collins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Petrasek is working away from the top position though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

John Collins has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Petrasek gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Collins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Petrasek looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
John Collins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Petrasek pulls Collins in close to prevent any damage.

Collins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Petrasek's guard.
Petrasek wants to control the position but Collins says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Petrasek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Petrasek slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Collins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Collins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petrasek works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Petrasek has his foot on Collins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Collins works his way back into a safe position though.

Petrasek is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Collins is aware though and is defending well.
Collins is looking to work some ground and pound but Petrasek has wrist control.

Petrasek had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Collins defends it easily.

Collins drops back looking for a leg! Petrasek is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Petrasek manages to kick Collins off! Collins jumps back into Petrasek's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petrasek can do anything to dispel that myth.

Petrasek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Collins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Petrasek throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Collins escapes and throws Petrasek's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but David Petrasek will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Petrasek is looking for a sweep. Collins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Collins is trying to control. Petrasek wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Collins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Petrasek defends it well.

Petrasek is not content to let Collins control the position.

Collins stalling.
Collins misses with a head shot. Petrasek uses the momentum to regain guard.

Petrasek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Collins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Collins showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Collins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
