Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Army (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Army might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tiger Army - Incorporeal. On his way into the cage it seems that Tiger Army has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tiger Army seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Army!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rubin Carter!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - Army circles away.

Carter has Army up against the cage in a clinch.
Army leaning against his opponent.
Carter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Army backwards.
A short right from Army.
Army goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Carter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Army prevents it.
Carter has Army pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Army manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Army's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Carter lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Army gets full guard.
Carter wants to control from the top but Army keeps moving.

Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Army is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Army trying to keep a closed guard but Carter is proving a slippery customer.

Carter drops back looking for a leg! Army is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Army manages to kick Carter off! Carter jumps back into Army's guard.
Army is adopting a defensive guard.

Carter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Carter wants to control from the top but Army keeps moving.

Carter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Carter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Army had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carter defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Army pulls Carter in close to prevent any damage.
Army avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Army pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Army circles away.
Tiger Army has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rubin Carter.

Carter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Army is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Carter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Carter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Army is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter is looking to take a break and control but Army is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rubin Carter dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Carter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Army with a jab.
Army stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Army wants it to stay on the feet.
Army lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt.

Carter feints and as Army raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carter wants to control from the top but Army keeps moving.
Army utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Army escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Army has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between Army's legs - danger averted.

Rubin Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Army feints and then cracks Carter's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Carter down.
Carter misses with the combination.
Carter connects with a crisp jab.
Army displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carter.
A telegraphed right hand from Army misses the target.
Army with a hook.
Carter shoots for a takedown but Army saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Carter shoots in for a takedown but Army shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Army leaves Carter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Carter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Army listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Army lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Carter misses with a takedown
and Army counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
and Army counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Carter! He's just covering up as Army starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tiger Army!
Our winner, Tiger Army, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
