PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Enting Butikol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shananigan Lurendrejer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butikol comes into the arena with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Lurendrejer's choice of entrance music: Blunt - Reggae Da Nation . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butikol moves in looking to clinch but Lurendrejer pushes him off.
Butikol throws a series of punches but Lurendrejer avoids them all with ease.
Butikol moves out of range of the strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Butikol looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Butikol looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lurendrejer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Butikol was covering up waiting for the punch and Lurendrejer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Butikol throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lurendrejer escapes and throws Butikol's legs to the side, diving into side control!

We've been informed that Lurendrejer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Lurendrejer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Butikol's waist but Butikol gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lurendrejer off to one side.
Enting Butikol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shananigan Lurendrejer.
