Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lance Nasri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanouk Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Nasri is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lance Nasri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sanouk Fairtex!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasri connects with a looping right hand.
Nasri misses with a takedown attempt - Fairtex sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nasri looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fairtex!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nasri trying to control the position but Fairtex is working away.
The ground and pound from Nasri seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Nasri content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Fairtex is not content to let Nasri control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lance Nasri wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nasri throws a series of punches but Fairtex avoids them all with ease.
Nasri swings widly with a right hand

Fairtex has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nasri shoots in and drives through. Fairtex sprawls well.
Nasri misses with an uppercut.
Nasri throws a series of punches but Fairtex avoids them all with ease.
Nasri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fairtex was well out of range. Poor timing from Nasri.
Sloppy strikes from Nasri. Those never looked like landing.
Nasri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fairtex stands up.
Fairtex takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nasri misses with a hook

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fairtex decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nasri to his feet.

Fairtex tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Nasri explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Nasri throws a big shot that misses.
Nasri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sanouk Fairtex dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nasri misses with a looping right.
Fairtex slaps away a takedown attempt from Nasri, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nasri throws the left hand but Fairtex avoids the punch easily.
Fairtex slips a jab and a cross from Nasri.
Nasri lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fairtex moves away from the strike by Nasri.
Nasri looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nasri looks to land a combination but Fairtex avoids it well.
Nasri swings for the body but Fairtex moves out of range.

Nasri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fairtex.
Nasri misses with a hook to the body

and Fairtex counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nasri's guard now.
Nasri wants to stand and escape but Fairtex is having none of it.

Fairtex decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nasri, up you get!
Nasri throws a looping overhand right but Fairtex ducks down to avoid it.
Nasri fails to land the takedown.

Nasri scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fairtex wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nasri thows a body shot but no joy.
Fairtex moves out of range of the strikes.
Fairtex slips a straight right by Nasri.

and Fairtex counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nasri won't be happy with that.
Nasri tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

What's going on here? Fairtex has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fairtex is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Fairtex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nasri.
Nasri swings for the body but Fairtex moves out of range.

Nasri shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fairtex manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nasri engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Fairtex pushes Nasri off and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nasri lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Sanouk Fairtex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nasri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fairtexs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fairtex slips under a jab.
Fairtex dodges the punch combination from Nasri.
Fairtex avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nasri jabs at Fairtex's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nasri looks to throw the jab but Fairtex is out of range.
Lance Nasri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nasri looks to land a combination. Fairtex sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nasri. Fairtex does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fairtex ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nasri closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fairtex pushes Nasri off looking to stand but Nasri dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nasri throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lance Nasri showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Fairtex has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
