The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Isback is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Isback shoots for a double leg takedown but Gracie sprawls well. He's pushed Isback's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Isback looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Isback persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.
Isback takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Isback shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Isback showed some decent athleticism there.

Isback throws a strike but Gracie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Isback is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gracie stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Isback closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Isback goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Isback but great work by Gracie.

Isback wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Gracie has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Isback's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Isback is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Gracie!
