The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Matias has clasped his hands together around Walsh's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The strikes coming from Matias are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Matias seems to be working for a kimura but Walsh defends the submission attempt.
Walsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Walsh is trying to stand up here but Matias is controlling him well.
Matias is looking to take a break and control but Walsh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Walsh pushes Matias off and gets back to his feet.

Walsh tries to clinch there but Matias circles away.
Matias throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Matias looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Walsh goes for a takedown attempt but Matias pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Matias manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walsh on his heels. He'll look to pass Walsh's guard now, I'm sure.
Walsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Matias won't allow Walsh to get back to his feet.
Walsh is pulling down on Matias's head. It's preventing any offense from Matias, at least for the moment.
Matias postures up in Walsh's guard and throws a big left but Walsh blocks it.

Walsh is trying to stand back up but Matias is controlling him

Walsh lands a couple of good shots and Matias has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Walsh just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Matias covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Walsh is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Matias. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Walsh drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Matias is in real trouble here! Walsh lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Walsh is delighted!
