Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Hooah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greyson Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mauricio Hooah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greyson Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooah tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reyes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Reyes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hooah wants to get back to his feet but Reyes is dominant here and he's now got Hooah's back!

Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hooah doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hooah manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hooah is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Reyes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hooah's guard.

Reyes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hooah is just riding it out for now. Reyes eventually gives up the hold.

Hooah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reyes is working away from the top position though.

Greyson Reyes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Reyes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hooah is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reyes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hooah's back instead.
Reyes is trying to stick to Hooah's back but Hooah is turning into Reyes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Reyes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hooah.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mauricio Hooah.
I think Hooah has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
