Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kcs ss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by ss.
ss throws a nice looking combination but Yates bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
ss sizes up Yates with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Yates shoots in looking for a takedown but ss manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yates's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
ss should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fighters circling - ss throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yates walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
ss works over Yates's head and body with a nice combination.
A nice combination there by ss.
Yates avoids a punch combination nicely.
Yates takes one to the side of the head.
ss leaves Yates with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
ss pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
ss stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Yates. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yates throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

ss shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. ss showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

ss is looking for a kimura but Yates is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for ss to get the leverage.

ss maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Yates could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but ss has cracked it and Yates is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by ss!
