Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Yee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Souto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souto has chosen Jorge Quintero - 300 violin orchestra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rolando Souto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jason Yee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Yee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rolando Souto!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Yee - just one landing.

Yee gets caught flat footed, as Souto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Yee pulls Souto in close to his closed guard and prevents Souto from doing any damage or advancing position.
Yee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Souto is one step ahead there.
Souto is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Yee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Souto tries to free his leg and advance position but Yee is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Souto works the jab nicely.
Yee loads up on a big right hand but Souto slips the punch.
Souto has a takedown stuffed.

Souto has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Yee throws a hook but Souto blocks it.

Souto connects with a good right hand that stumbles Yee. Yee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Souto avoids the body shot from Yee.
Yee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Souto dives in and grabs Yee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yee pushes down on Souto's head and hops out.

Yee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Yee tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Yee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Souto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jason Yee has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Yee misses with an uppercut. Souto saw that one coming.

Souto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yee keeps working.

Yee is trying to control Souto's posture but Souto avoids it.
Souto is looking to take a break and control but Yee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yee tries to buck Souto off but Souto is having none of it.

Yee can't do much from the bottom here.
Yee is letting Souto control him for a moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Yee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Souto was well out of range. Poor timing from Yee.
Souto looks to land a right hand but Yee moved out of range.
Horrible takedown by Souto or perhaps it was just good defense by Yee which made him look bad.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yee slips under a jab.
Yee throws a jab but it's blocked by Souto.
Yee tries to close the distance and clinch but Souto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yee. Souto does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Souto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Souto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Souto slips under a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Yee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Souto dives in and grabs Yee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yee pushes down on Souto's head and hops out.
No joy there for Yee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Souto misses with a looping left.
Yee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Souto moves away.
Yee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Souto shoots in for a takedown but Yee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Souto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yee circles away.
Jason Yee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolando Souto.
Souto fails with the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Yee. Those never looked like landing.
Yee cracks Souto with a good jab.
Souto lands with an overhand left.
Yee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Souto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Yee lands a glancing blow to the side of Souto's head.
Yee thuds a left hand into Souto's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Yee lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Yee looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Yee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Yee throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Souto throws a knee to the head but misses.
Souto blocks an elbow strike.
Yee lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Souto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Yee just misses with a elbow thrown towards Souto's brow.

Souto using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Yee has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Yee lands a right hand that snaps the head of Souto backwards.

Souto takes an elbow to the forehead.
Yee is pressed up against the cage. Souto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yee down to the mat. Yee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Yee feints with a jab and clips Souto right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Souto is sent crashing into the canvas and Yee leaps in for the kill! Souto tries to get to his feet but Yee is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Souto is in need of a savior and steps in!
