Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vaughn Melton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Ruiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz doesn't manage to clinch there - Melton circles away.
Ricardo Ruiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Melton napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Melton is trying to control Ruiz's posture but Ruiz avoids it.

Ruiz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Melton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
