The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Lei clinches up with Cruz and pushes him back against the cage.
Lei wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cruz has him pressed against the cage.
Lei misses with some punches.
Cruz lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cruz lands with a left to the head.
Cruz lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lei or not.

Lei tries to break free but Cruz pushes him back against the cage.

Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lei seems to have recovered his senses.
Lei on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lei throws the kick towards the body but Cruz avoids it.
Lei takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cruz thumps Lei with a low kick.
Cruz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Cruz thows a body kick. Lei tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Lei closes the distance and clinches.
Cruz blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cruz pushes Lei back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lei swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lei pushes off an throws an elbow but Cruz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Lei swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cruz counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Cruz looks at the referee who does nothing so Cruz lands a crushing right that sends Lei to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
