Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Theraugood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rock Theraugood's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.
Silva is nestled in close to Theraugood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Theraugood tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control.

Theraugood is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Theraugood is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Theraugood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Theraugood has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at HARRY'S $300. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Junior Silva wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Theraugood sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Theraugood wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Theraugood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva is looking for a kimura but Theraugood is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage.

Theraugood is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Theraugood is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.

Silva is working to tighten his grip on Theraugood's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Theraugood has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Theraugood passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
