The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Rutkowski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sukayev circles away.

Rutkowski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sukayev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sukayev seems keen to control Rutkowski's posture.

Rutkowski wants to control from the top but Sukayev keeps moving.
Sukayev wants to get back to his feet but Rutkowski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Rutkowski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sukayev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rutkowski has Sukayev in his guard.

Rutkowski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sukayev defends it easily.

Sukayev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Sukayev has an Americana. Rutkowski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sukayev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sukayev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
