Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Franco!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yakazuki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Franco but Franco pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Franco fails in his attempt to clinch.
Franco throws a head kick that misses.
Franco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Yakazuki defends well and Franco ends up having to push Yakazuki into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Franco lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Yakazuki has been working on his balance at Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Franco.

Yakazuki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Franco gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Yakazuki tries to score a body lock takedown but Franco shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manabu Yakazuki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Franco breaks from the clinch.
Yakazuki shoots for a takedown but Franco saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yakazuki dodges the punch combination from Franco.
Franco's corner calls for a 1-2. Franco obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yakazuki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Franco's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Yakazuki works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yakazuki has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Franco defend it? Yakazuki steps over the head and cranks it - Franco is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Yakazuki!
