The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Shinra. Those never looked like landing.

Nicolopus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shinra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rufus Shinra has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Shinra stalks Nicolopus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nicolopus's face. Nicolopus staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Trios Nicolopus has been cut.
Shinra moves into the clinch successfully.
Shinra is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Nicolopus is defending well for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Shinra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Shinra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nicolopus has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nicolopus there as he acknowledges the shot.
Shinra throws a right and a left that both miss.

Nicolopus throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shinra counters with a lovely straight right hand!

I would just about give that final round to Trios Nicolopus.
