Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raif Kind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raif Kind looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kind misses with a two punch combination.
Kind throws a series of punches but Hicks moves out of range.
Hicks scores with a three punch combo!
Kind circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kind throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hicks's head.

Hicks has closed the distance and engaged Kind in a clinch.
Kind really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hicks is looking to work some ground and pound but Kind has wrist control.

Hicks is pushing down on Kind's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kind is fighting to maintain full guard but Hicks has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hicks seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kind does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hicks lands a big shot there that rocks Kind but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Hicks is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kind to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kind shrugs it off.

Hicks lands a nice shot to the head.
Kind is desperately trying to improve his position but Hicks has a good base and remains in mount.

Hicks has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kind's face.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hicks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kind.
Raif Kind is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Hicks counters with an outside leg kick.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hicks sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Hicks working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Kind looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hicks! Submission of the night perhaps?
