Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Willian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willian tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cena defends well and Willian ends up having to push Cena into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cena escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cena tries to bum rush Willian with a series of wild strikes but Willian uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Willian shoots in but Cena avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cena has a takedown stuffed.
Willian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cena tries to avoid it but Willian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cena to the ground. Cena escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Willian fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cena sprawls well initially but Willian persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Willian seems content to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cena. Willian does a little dance to reset his feet.

Willian closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cena's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
