The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie feints and as Waller raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Waller tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Gracie wants to control but Waller is keeping him busy.
Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
Waller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Waller tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Waller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Waller defends it well.
Waller tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.
