Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Ahkenaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Folignus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ahkenaton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sweet Taste of India. Folignus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Laces Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folignus looks for the body kick but Ahkenaton saw that one coming.
Folignus misses with a kick to the body.
Folignus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ahkenaton 's waist but Ahkenaton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Folignus off to one side.
We've been hearing reports that Ahkenaton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ahkenaton thuds a left hand into Folignus's body.

Ahkenaton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Folignus manages to avoid it.

Folignus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ahkenaton is just riding it out for now. Folignus eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that King Ahkenaton will probably get the nod.
