The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt swings away with a body shot that misses
and Killjoy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Holt takes one to the side of the head.
Killjoy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Killjoy lands with a nice combination. Holt backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Manny Holt has been cut.

Holt clinches up with Killjoy and pushes him back against the cage.
Holt wants to stall.

Holt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Killjoy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Holt is trying to drag Killjoy to the mat but Killjoy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Killjoy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Holt up against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Killjoy's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Killjoy will probably get the nod.

Holt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Killjoy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holt somewhat.

and Holt counters with a three punch combo that has Killjoy backing up. Killjoy nods at Holt to acknowledge the strikes.

Holt has gone for a leg lock! Killjoy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Holt's guard.
Holt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Holt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Killjoy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Killjoy is squirming around, avoiding Holt's attempts to control the action.
Holt lands a couple of good shots and Killjoy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
