Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Hawkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batista comes to the cage accompanied by wrecking ball. Dave Batista has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Batista!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Hawkman!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawkman closes the distance and clinches.
Batista tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hawkman just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hawkman lands an elbow that stopped Batista in his tracks for a moment.

Hawkman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dave Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batista stuffs the takedown.
Batista scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hawkman doesn't seem bothered though.
Hawkman looks winded!
Batista chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hawkman blocks a head kick by Batista.
Batista feints and then cracks Hawkman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hawkman down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batista feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hawkman's calf.

Oooooh!!! Batista has knocked Hawkman down with a huge combo! Batista steps away and waves a wobbly Hawkman back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Jon Hawkman has been cut.
Hawkman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Batista can pounce on him.
Batista throws a nice looking combination but Hawkman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Batista grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Hawkman takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Batista cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dave Batista!
Dave Batista decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
