The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laprise looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Laprise tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Weiner lunges at Laprise with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Laprise's hand.
Laprise changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Weiner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Laprise is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Weiner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Laprise tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Laprise throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Weiner works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laprise drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Weiner dives on top into guard.

Weiner throws an elbow that misses. Laprise uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Weiner's guard. Nice move by Laprise!
Weiner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Laprise stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weiner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Laprise decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Weiner, up you get!

Weiner drops Laprise with a beautiful combination! Laprise stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Weiner is looking for the KO!

Donk. Weiner catches Laprise right on the button with a cross.
Alexander Weiner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Laprise shoots in looking for a takedown but Weiner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Laprise's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Weiner steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Laprise is out on his feet! Weiner sets himself and nearly takes Laprise's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
