PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wes Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Public Enemy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Public Enemy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enemy tries to clinch up

and Landry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Landry.
Landry has had enough of the clinch but Enemy keeps him there for the moment.
Enemy connects with a knee to the head.
Landry goes for a takedown in the clinch but Enemy prevents it.
Enemy taking a breather.
Landry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Enemy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Landry has picked Enemy up - he's going for a ride! Landry dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Enemy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Landry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Landry or perhaps it was just good defense by Enemy which made him look bad.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wes Landry will probably get the nod.
