Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buchanan has chosen Secret of Octopus as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Buchanan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buchanan tries to clinch there but Mason circles away.
Mason shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mason wants to get back to his feet.
Buchanan tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Mason sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Buchanan tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control.
Buchanan lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Mason is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mason takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mason lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Buchanan tries to get to full guard but Mason has control of the leg.
Buchanan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mason looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Buchanan works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mason stands up over Buchanan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mason stands and throws Buchanan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mason working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mason in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Buchanan is looking for a sweep.

Mason landing strikes from the mount.
Buchanan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Buchanan looks gassed!
Mason connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Ray Buchanan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mason scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Buchanan is rocked!
That has opened up Ray Buchanan's cut even more.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mason looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Buchanan covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Mason!
