The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Skayias.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kane is looking to reverse the position.
Kane looking for a sweep but Skayias has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Kane trying desperately to get to his feet.

Kane is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Skayias has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Skayias!

Kane is looking for a triangle here but Skayias uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kane takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kane manages to work his way to half guard, despite Skayias's best efforts.

Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skayias doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skayias manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Derek Kane will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kane misses with a takedown attempt - Skayias sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kane wants to get up but he can't break Skayias's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kane is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Skayias is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Skayias has escaped and now he's on top!

Kane looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Skayias is defending well. Kane quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Skayias has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kane celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
