Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walter White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Kosugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ichiro Kosugi enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ichiro Kosugi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosugi throws a body kick that misses.
Kosugi scores with the left hand. White knows he should have avoided that one.
Kosugi works White's body with a nice hook.
Kosugi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has White pinned against the ropes. White gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kosugi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
White scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
White looks to land a combination but Kosugi avoids it well.
Kosugi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Walter White will probably get the nod.

and Kosugi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kosugi throws a strike but White rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kosugi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kosugi is trying to keep White in close.

Kosugi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kosugi is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kosugi to get the leverage.

White is staying active underneath Kosugi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kosugi lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kosugi in particular looking to stall.

Ichiro Kosugi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kosugi throws a sloppy head kick
and White counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kosugi moves in looking to clinch but White pushes him off.
Ichiro Kosugi seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kosugi shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
White lunges at Kosugi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kosugi's hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White gets through Kosugi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
White tries to work over Kosugi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, White creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White leaves Kosugi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been told by White's head coaches at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
