The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. JeEs tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in JeEs's guard.
My spies in Sanitarium inform me that Smith has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith's corner is telling him to maintain position.

JeEs looking to control but Smith passes into half guard.
Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks JeEs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
JeEs is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Smith jumps into side control!
JeEs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
JeEs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.

Smith takes a little break here. JeEs wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. JeEs looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. JeEs is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and JeEs can pop his arm back in it's socket.
