Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Larin Villasenor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Alan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alan throws a wild body kick that Villasenor sees coming a mile off.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Villasenor!
Villasenor lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alan backs up against the cage.
Villasenor jabs Alan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Villasenor tries to bum rush Alan with a series of wild strikes but Alan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Villasenor thuds a left hand into Alan's body.
Villasenor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Alan drops his hands momentarily and Villasenor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Villasenor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Villasenor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alan back to the cage. Villasenor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Alan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Villasenor as he jumps to the side.
Alan looks winded!
Villasenor connects with a crisp jab.
Villasenor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alan circles away quickly and effectively.
Alan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Villasenor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alan. Alan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Villasenor leaves Alan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Villasenor lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alan backs up against the cage.

Villasenor scores with a jab. Alan acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Alan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Alan misses with the combination.
Villasenor throws a series of punches but Alan moves out of range.
Villasenor closes the distance and lands a one-two.

No joy there for Villasenor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Villasenor was well out of range. Poor timing from Alan.
Alan tries a head kick but it misses.
Alan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Villasenor's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Villasenor duly obliges.

Alan is still on wobbly legs! Can Villasenor finish him?
Alan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Villasenor lands with a big left! Alan is wobbled badly! Villasenor comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Alan to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
