Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Mas que Nada. Langley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: L'Envoutee. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langley fails to land with a series of punches.

Langley clinches.
Langley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Langley misses with the head strike.
Da Silva looking for a takedown.
Da Silva goes for a takedown in the clinch but Langley prevents it.
Langley has a couple of punches blocked by Da Silva.
Da Silva throws a knee to the head but misses.
Langley scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Da Silva tries to pull guard but Langley won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Langley tries to throw a body punch but Da Silva avoids it by throwing Langley back against the cage.

Da Silva stops a takedown attempt from Langley.
Langley tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Langley gets through Da Silva's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Langley misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Langley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Da Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Da Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Langley swivels and escapes.

Langley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Da Silva wants to control from the top but Langley keeps moving.
Da Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Langley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Langley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Da Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Langley has Da Silva in his guard.
Langley wants to stand up but Da Silva is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Da Silva is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Langley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Langley is looking for a triangle but Da Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Da Silva prevents Langley from getting back to his feet.
Da Silva is looking to stand up but Langley won't let him.
Da Silva is breathing heavily.
Langley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Da Silva is controlling him.
Langley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Langley advances to half guard.
Langley wants to pass to mount but Da Silva is defending the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Da Silva is not content to let Langley control the position.
Da Silva is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Langley frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Da Silva is trying to escape the mount.

Langley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Da Silva is surviving well by controlling Langley's body position as best he can.
Langley wants to take his opponent's back but Da Silva doesn't allow it.

Langley working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Da Silva looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Langley! Submission of the night perhaps?
