Mayer comes to the cage accompanied by Rammstein - mein teil. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diggy scores with a takedown into Mayer 's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mayer wants to stand but Diggy is controlling the position.

Diggy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mayer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Diggy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Diggy postures up in Mayer 's guard and throws a big left but Mayer blocks it.
Mayer wants to get back to his feet but Diggy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diggy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mayer wants to get up but he can't break Diggy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Diggy pushes Mayer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diggy rushes Mayer and presses him up against the cage.
Mayer has had enough of the clinch but Diggy keeps him there for the moment.
Diggy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Diggy prevents Mayer from breaking the clinch.
Diggy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Diggy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mayer 's efforts to push away.
A head punch on the inside from Diggy fails to land.

Diggy lands a takedown into guard.

Diggy is looking to work some ground and pound but Mayer has wrist control.
Mayer wants to stand and escape but Diggy is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ligyy Diggy.
Diggy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mayer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mayer feints a jab promting Diggy to slip. Mayer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diggy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Mayer scores with a jab to the head.
Mayer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Diggy or perhaps it was just good defense by Mayer which made him look bad.
Mayer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mayer . Diggy does a little dance to reset his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ligyy Diggy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Diggy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mayer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Diggy.
Mayer is trying to stand up here but Diggy is controlling him well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Diggy lands a nice short elbow.
Mayer looks like he's trying to stand up.
Diggy looks to land a strike but Mayer avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Diggy throws a strike but Mayer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Mayer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Diggy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mayer . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diggy wants to get back to his feet but Mayer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Diggy is breathing heavily.
Mayer wants to stand but Diggy is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Diggy shoots in for a double leg but Mayer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mayer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mayer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mayer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mayer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diggy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Diggy wants to clinch up but Mayer keeps it at a distance.
Diggy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Diggy is rocked!
Mayer fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Diggy out cold! Brutal finish!
