Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Tuesday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Gomez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuesday misses with a looping left.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gomez.
A telegraphed right hand from Gomez misses the target.
Tuesday definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tuesday misses with a lunging right hand
and Gomez counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Shawn Tuesday has been cut.
Tuesday drops his hands momentarily and Gomez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Tuesday shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gomez pinned against the cage. Gomez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tuesday misses with a left hand
and Gomez makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Gomez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tuesday at a distance.
Tuesday misses with a takedown attempt - Gomez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gomez has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gomez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tuesday was well out of range. Poor timing from Gomez.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tuesday takes one on the button.
Tuesday shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gomez as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Tuesday. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tuesday shoots in for a takedown but Gomez shows good takedown defense.
Gomez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gomez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gomez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Gomez thows a body shot but no joy.
Tuesday takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Tuesday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gomez circles away quickly and effectively.
Tuesday takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Gomez misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gomez throws a series of punches but Tuesday moves out of range.
Tuesday shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gomez finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Gomez connects with a body shot that sends Tuesday's belly button to the back.
Tuesday takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gomez slips a straight right by Tuesday.
Tuesday misses with a hook
and Gomez counters with a thumping low kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tuesday. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gomez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tuesday fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A jab lands there for Gomez.
Tuesday with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gomez to score with a decent uppercut.
Gomez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gomez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tuesday bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gomez is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tuesday is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Tuesday is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Tuesday!

After the fight, Shawn Tuesday was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Hector Gomez stepped up to the mic, saying 'Show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser.'.
