Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teddy Mckee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amir Khan!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckee throws a quick inside leg kick.

Khan gets a clinch.
Mckee is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Khan to keep the fight standing.

Mckee manages to break the clinch.
Khan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Khan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mckee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Khan somewhat.

Khan gets a clinch.

Khan jumps guard and drags Mckee to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Khan is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mckee presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Mckee is trying to break the clinch but Khan has him pressed against the cage.
Mckee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mckee misses with a wild combination.
Khan shoots for a takedown but Mckee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mckee is trying to break the clinch but Khan has him pressed against the cage.

Mckee is working an open guard so Khan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Khan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mckee avoids it really well and circles away.

Mckee breaks from the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mckee sprawls well. Mckee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
A combination from Mckee does no damage.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mckee.

Mckee gets tackled into the cage by Khan. Khan maintains the clinch.
Khan stalling the fight.
Mckee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mckee wants to stall.
Come on Mckee - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Khan drags the fight down to the ground.
Khan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mckee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Khan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mckee manages to get himself to full guard.
Khan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mckee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Khan wants to hold on but Mckee pushes him away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Khan is trying to escape the mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.
Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mckee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but Mckee shows good takedown defense.

Khan throws a nice looking combination but Mckee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Khan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mckee's waist but Mckee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khan off to one side.

Khan tries for a takedown but Mckee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mckee throws a series of punches but Khan avoids them all with ease.

and Mckee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mckee wanted to stand there but Khan had control of the position.

Mckee wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mckee can't break the clinch.
Mckee wants to get back to striking at distance but Khan won't allow it.
Khan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mckee.
Mckee tries to break the clinch but Khan is controlling the position.
Mckee tries for a takedown but Khan manages to get underhooks.
Khan prevents Mckee from breaking the clinch.
Mckee is trying to stall.
Mckee tries to circle away but Khan has him pinned against the cage.

Mckee is working for takedown but Khan is calmly controlling the position for now.

Mckee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Mckee sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Khan is working for takedown but Mckee is calmly controlling the position for now.
Khan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mckee is trying to force a seperation but Khan has the dominant position.
Mckee can't break the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Khan's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mckee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mckee misses with a two punch combination.
Mckee stuffs the takedown attempt from Khan. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mckee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Mckee does no damage.
Khan circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mckee closes the distance and clinches up with Khan, looking for a takedown. Mckee pushes Khan against the cage but Khan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Mckee dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Khan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Khan forces Mckee back against the cage and clinches.
Khan tries to score a body lock takedown but Mckee shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Mckee decides to pull guard.
Mckee throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Mckee is looking to sweep but instead, Khan has passed into half guard.
Mckee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Mckee wants to get back to his feet.
Khan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Khan is looking to advance position but Mckee won't allow it.

Khan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Khan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Khan is controlling the pace.

Mckee is looking to get back to full guard here but Khan has managed to pass to side control instead.
Mckee is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Mckee throws a few strikes from the bottom but Khan takes advantage and mounts!

Mckee is trying desperately to improve position.
Mckee looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Khan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Amir Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
