PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Amado Mccray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolf Flow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Wolf Flow enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amado Mccray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wolf Flow!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccray fails with the takedown
and Flow counters with a series of strikes. Mccray will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mccray shoots for a takedown but Flow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Flow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mccray won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amado Mccray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Flow takes a little break here. Mccray wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Flow tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mccray's legs.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mccray shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Flow counters with a head kick. That will keep Mccray thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mccray dives in for a single leg takedown but Flow sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mccray trying to control the position but instead, Flow has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mccray into the cage.

Flow turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Flow remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Let's hope that Flow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Wolf Flow.
Mccray misses with a takedown
and Flow makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mccray tries for a takedown but Flow circles away easily
and Flow counters with a left and a right that stings Mccray.
Mccray shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Flow defends it nicely.

and Flow counters with a head kick. That will keep Mccray thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wolf Flow dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Flow counters with a shoot takedown. Mccray fights it but they end up in guard.
Flow stays in close to Mccray's body and controls the position.
Flow stands and throws Mccray's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Flow is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mccray's shoulder. That is not cool.

Flow's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mccray tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Mccray is wriggling around trying to escape.
Flow controlling the pace for now.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Flow sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Mccray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mccray wants to control but Flow is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wolf Flow was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mccray shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Flow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Flow controls from within his opponent's guard.
Flow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mccray is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mccray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amado Mccray. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
