Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiyato Nakamara !
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakamara gets a double leg takedown into Leepen's guard.
Leepen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nakamara manages to get himself to full guard.
Leepen prevents Nakamara from getting back to his feet.
Leepen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Leepen gets to his feet - Nakamara follows without any prompting.
Nakamara will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Leepen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nakamara tries to close the distance and clinch but Leepen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nakamara misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nakamara tries to clinch but Leepen moves out of range.
Leepen throws the left hand but Nakamara avoids the punch easily.

Nakamara walks into a stiff left hand from Leepen.

Leepen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Leepen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nakamara is working an open guard so Leepen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nakamara has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nakamara there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nakamara takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nakamara on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nakamara changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leepen tries to avoid it but Nakamara manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leepen to the ground. Leepen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krisu Leepen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiyato Nakamara .

Leepen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Leepen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Leepen lands a left and a right that send Nakamara crashing to the mat, dazed. Leepen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Leepen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Leepen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leepen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nakamara is still on wobbly legs! Can Leepen finish him?
Krisu Leepen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Leepen shoots in and gets a takedown into Nakamara 's guard.
Leepen throwing strikes from guard but Nakamara blocks nicely.

Nakamara seems to have recovered his senses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakamara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leepen defends well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Leepen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Leepen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Nakamara is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
