Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wally Garza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeebas Mclain!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclain throws a body kick that misses.

Mclain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garza looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mclain is trying to get an arm triangle but Garza is defending well.
Garza wants to control but Mclain postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garza tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Mclain tries to stand but Garza is controlling his head.
I wouldn't like to be where Garza is right now.
Garza can't do much from the bottom here.
Who's going to make the next move?
Garza tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Garza struggling a bit here.
Mclain tries to score with some ground and pound. Garza controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mclain working the strikes but Garza uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Garza is trying to control but can't.

Mclain seems to be working for a kimura but Garza defends the submission attempt.
Garza wants to control but Mclain is keeping busy.

Garza is trying to control but Mclain passes into side control!

Mclain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Garza manages to get back to half guard.
Garza is positioning himself well to prevent Mclain advancing to mount.
Garza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Garza slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Garza throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Mclain postures up.
Mclain should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Garza looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Mclain takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Garza is controlling Mclain's posture.
Garza is trying to control the position but Mclain postures up.
Garza has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wally Garza.
Mclain misses with a low kick.

Mclain controls the position from side control.
We've been informed that Mclain has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Garza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mclain is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wally Garza will probably get the nod.

Mclain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Garza is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Mclain controlling from side mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mclain is looking to take a break and control but Garza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mclain is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Garza knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Garza shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Garza was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mclain wants to control but Garza postures up.

Garza tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garza has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Garza in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Mclain tries to bench press Garza off him but Garza keeps the position.

Garza has hold of Mclain's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mclain tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Garza cranks the arm and Mclain screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mclain, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wally Garza!
