Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Ranger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josiah Mudzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buzz Ranger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josiah Mudzuri!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mudzuri fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ranger tries to close the distance and clinch but Mudzuri swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ranger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ranger throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ranger closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mudzuri counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ranger!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mudzuri advances to full mount.
Mudzuri is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ranger has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ranger slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Mudzuri has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Clean and Green. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mudzuri is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ranger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mudzuri.
Mudzuri is trying to control. Ranger wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ranger pushes Mudzuri off looking to stand but Mudzuri dives back in and keeps control.
Mudzuri is looking for a kimura but Ranger is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mudzuri to get the leverage.
Ranger wants to control but Mudzuri is keeping busy.
Mudzuri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ranger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mudzuri on the ground.

Ranger won't allow Mudzuri to pass to mount.
Mudzuri is looking to take a break and control but Ranger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mudzuri trying to control from Ranger's half guard. Ranger has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Mudzuri wants to pass the guard but Ranger is keeping the position.
Ranger wants to sweep but no luck.

Ranger is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mudzuri passes into half guard.
Ranger tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Mudzuri manages to move to mount!
Ranger tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mudzuri forces the positional change into back control.
Mudzuri is hanging on to Ranger's back as he tries to escape.

Mudzuri working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Ranger is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mudzuri has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Ranger taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josiah Mudzuri!
After winning the bout, Josiah Mudzuri thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
